š„Nutrition Series: Part 5

Recovery Starts in the Kitchen
You finished the workout.
You pushed yourself.
You lifted heavier.
You ran faster.
You got through that last round when your body was telling you to stop.
Now what?

Recovery.
Your workout is the stimulus. Recovery is where your body gets the opportunity to adapt.
Nutrition is part of recovery.

After training, focus on getting adequate fluids and a balanced meal or snack containing protein and carbohydrates.
Think:
š Chicken + rice + vegetables
š Fish + potatoes + salad
š„ Eggs + whole-grain toast + fruit
š„ Greek yogurt + fruit + oats
šÆ Turkey or chicken wrap + vegetables
You donāt have to obsess over a tiny post-workout window.
Your overall nutrition throughout the day matters.
And donāt forget sleep.

Recovery isnāt just food.
Itās also:
Nutrition + hydration + sleep + rest + movement.

You cannot expect your body to perform at its best if youāre constantly asking it to give without giving anything back.
Train hard.
But recover harder.
Your body needs ALL!
