Nutrition & Aging Strong

Getting older doesn’t mean getting weaker.

It means we have to become even more intentional about taking care of ourselves.

Strength training matters.

Movement matters.

Sleep matters.

And nutrition matters.

As we age, maintaining muscle and supporting bone health, energy, mobility, and overall function become increasingly important.

Don’t just focus on the number on the scale.

Ask yourself:

Can I get up and down easily?

Can I carry my groceries?

Can I climb the stairs?

Can I play with my grandchildren?

Can I travel?

Can I live independently?

Those are measurements of fitness, too.

A balanced diet that provides adequate protein, fruits and vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats, and sufficient fluids can support your body as you age.

And strength training can help you maintain the physical capacity to do the things you love.

Age is a number.

How you care for yourself helps determine how you experience those years.

Don’t wait until you’re older to start investing in your future body.

Build it now.

Feed it.

Challenge it.

Move it.

Respect it.

And keep showing up!
