🥗Nutrition Series: Part 1
Fuel Before You Train
Your workout starts before you walk through the door.
What you eat—and when you eat it—can make a difference in your energy, performance, and how you feel during your workout.
Training hard requires fuel. Your body needs energy to lift, push, pull, run, spin, jump, and perform at its best.

So, what should you eat?
Think about combining carbohydrates + protein.
Carbohydrates can provide readily available energy, while protein helps support your muscles.
Some simple options include:
Greek yogurt with fruit
Oatmeal with berries and a little nut butter
A banana with peanut or almond butter
Whole-grain toast with eggs
Fruit and cottage cheese
A small smoothie with protein and fruit
You don’t need a huge meal right before exercising. The amount and timing depend on the workout, your individual needs, and how your body responds.

Listen to your body.
Some people feel great training after a meal. Others prefer something lighter.
The important thing is to learn what works for you.

And don’t forget hydration. Starting a workout already dehydrated can leave you feeling tired before you’ve even begun.
Your workout deserves preparation.
Don’t just show up. Fuel the body that’s going to do the work.
